Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Just Whymer (ranked 27 p4p, 104 weight class) and Jeremy Jones (ranked 7 p4p, 18 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 13 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Just Whymer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeremy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Just Whymer has been cut.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Whymer. Jones shrugs it off though.
Whymer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Whymer misses with a hook to the body
and Whymer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Whymer thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jones if he has to take too many more of those.

Whymer lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand.

Whymer fakes the leg kick and cracks Jones in the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Whymer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Joness jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Jeremy Jones has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones moves out of range of the body kick.

Whymer cracks Jones with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jones looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Whymer finish him?
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Whymer finish him?

Jones walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Jones limp body while Whymer jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Just Whymer!
Our winner, Just Whymer, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
