Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Tungsten (ranked 2825 p4p, 3538 weight class) and Nikita Yashin (ranked 32 p4p, 48 weight class). Tungsten comes to the cage accompanied by Cover of The Rolling Stone by Dr. Hook. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terry Tungsten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nikita Yashin!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yashin swings for the body but Tungsten moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Tungsten on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Yashin misses with a body punch
letting Tungsten counter with a right hand.

It looks like Nikita Yashin has been cut.

Tungsten cracks Yashin with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Yashin looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Tungsten finish him?

Yashin is rocked!
Yashin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Yashin is still on wobbly legs! Can Tungsten finish him?
Tungsten takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Yashin seems to have recovered his senses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tungsten misses with a hook. Yashin ducked under it nicely.
A nice side step and Yashin releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Tungsten throws an overhand right that lands on Yashin's shoulder, as Yashin tries to avoid the shot.
Yashin with the counter takedown but Tungsten avoids it easily.
Tungsten drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Yashin swings away with a body shot that misses
and Tungsten counters with a nice uppercut.
Yashin avoids the body shot from Tungsten.
A telegraphed right hand from Yashin misses the target.
It looked like Tungsten was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice cross by Yashin.
Tungsten misses with a hook

and Yashin counters by moving into the clinch.
Yashin can't find room to land a body shot as Tungsten controls the action.

Tungsten breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Yashin is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tungsten rather than just go for the knockout.
Yashin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tungsten.
A slow jab from Tungsten misses its intended target.
Tungsten scores with the left hand. Yashin knows he should have avoided that one.
Yashin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tungsten.
It looked like Tungsten was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Yashin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tungsten thows a left - swing and a miss!
And Yashin tries to counter it with a takedown but Tungsten pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Tungsten uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yashin has time to react.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tungsten throws a lazy uppercut
and Yashin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tungsten thinking.
Tungsten lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Terry Tungsten!
