Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edwin Van Der Velt!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Der Velt shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hansen tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Van Der Velt manages to move to mount!

Hansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Van Der Velt on the ground.
Van Der Velt throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hansen because Van Der Velt loaded up on that one.
Hansen wants to hold on but Van Der Velt pushes him away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Van Der Velt wants to take his opponent's back but Hansen doesn't allow it.

Van Der Velt can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hansen is looking to escape.

Van Der Velt has control of Hansen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hansen regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Van Der Velt has the hooks in. Hansen is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Van Der Velt punches the canvas rather than the man.
Hansen is really stuck here.
Van Der Velt has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Hansen! Can he survive? No! He's out! Van Der Velt gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
