And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruzor Szalai!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cubbedge misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Szalai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cubbedge ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cubbedge throws a lazy uppercut
and Szalai counters with a series of strikes. Cubbedge will be more careful next time no doubt.
Cubbedge misses with a hook.
Szalai steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cubbedge.
Cubbedge misses with a wild combination.
Cubbedge on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Billy Cubbedge has been cut.
Szalai takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cubbedge misses the body punch
letting Szalai counter with a right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cubbedge throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Szalai misses with a straight right.
Szalai keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Cubbedge swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Szalai fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Szalai connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cubbedge's hands.
A jab from Cubbedge does it's job there.
Cubbedge tests Szalai's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cubbedge looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Szalai scores with a decent looking hook.
Cubbedge throws a jab but it's blocked by Szalai.
The fighters circling - Cubbedge throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
It seemed like Szalai was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Cubbedge circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Szalai. Cubbedge falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Szalai!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bruzor Szalai!
Bruzor Szalai was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
