Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Bratten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Bratten is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Bratten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Cabrera! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabrera shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bratten as he jumps to the side. Bratten gets the takedown into side control. Cabrera wants to control but Bratten postures up. Cabrera tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bratten wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bratten wants to control but Cabrera is keeping him busy. Cabrera is trying to control Bratten's posture but Bratten avoids it. Bratten works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Bratten trying to control the action but Cabrera is working from the bottom. Cabrera tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bratten wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bratten working away. Cabrera tries to buck Bratten off but Bratten is having none of it. You can see the frustration on Cabrera's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cabrera regains half guard. Cabrera is pressing down on Bratten's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Cabrera trying to keep a closed guard but Bratten is proving a slippery customer.
Bratten trying to control the position from guard on top but Cabrera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cabrera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bratten can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cabrera looks gassed! Bratten gets to his feet. Cabrera looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bratten clinches up against the cage. Bratten's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bratten feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bratten preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bratten wants to control from the top but Cabrera keeps moving. Bratten trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cabrera looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bratten is one step ahead there. Cabrera keeping moving, preventing Bratten from controlling successfully. Cabrera bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bratten's guard. Bratten trying to control the position.
Bratten on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bratten tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Cabrera gets to his feet. Bratten looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bratten circles away from the clinch attempt so Bratten counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Cabrera is trying to keep Bratten in close.
Bratten trying to control but Cabrera is working from the bottom. Bratten preventing the sweep. Cabrera has his foot on Bratten's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bratten works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Bratten dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Bratten clinches but Cabrera breaks the clinch and Cabrera counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bratten regains full guard. Nicely done. Cabrera lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Cabrera throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Steve Bratten overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cabrera wants to control from the top but Bratten keeps moving. Cabrera is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bratten darts in and clinches Cabrera up against the cage. Bratten has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cabrera is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Cabrera pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cabrera is looking to clinch. Cabrera looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bratten! Bratten is desperately trying to improve his position but Cabrera has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cabrera in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Cabrera lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cabrera looking to isolate an arm here. Bratten doesn't see it coming and as Cabrera extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Cabrera!
