Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Salvatore Coppola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hermann Oestergaard!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coppola throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Oestergaard was covering up waiting for the punch and Coppola finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Coppola wants to stand but Oestergaard is controlling his posture from full guard.
Coppola looking to sit in guard and control but Oestergaard gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Oestergaard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coppola wants to stand up but Oestergaard is controlling him.

Coppola is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Oestergaard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Coppola looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Coppola tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Oestergaard paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Oestergaard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Coppola tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Oestergaard is in Coppola's guard.
Oestergaard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Coppola wants to stand and escape but Oestergaard is having none of it.

Coppola is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Oestergaard dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee asks Oestergaard politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Oestergaard prefers to stall for the moment though.
Oestergaard's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Oestergaard is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Coppola looks calm but he's in trouble here. Oestergaard gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Coppola is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Oestergaard lets go of the hold and Coppola can pop his arm back in it's socket.
