Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Rohl (ranked 3521 p4p, 3495 weight class) and Matt Starr (ranked 424 p4p, 423 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Curtis Rohl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Starr!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rohl on the side of the head.
Rohl has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Rohl moves into the clinch.
Rohl tries to land knees in the clinch but Starr avoids the damage to the body.
Rohl has Starr pressed against the cage.
Rohl unloads a knee to the mid-section. Starr lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Rohl lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Matt Starr has been cut.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rohl.
Rohl lands an elbow that stopped Starr in his tracks for a moment.
Rohl controlling the action here for a moment.
Starr blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Nice elbow from Rohl.
Starr takes an elbow to the forehead.
Starr wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rohl is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Starr is trying to push Rohl away but Rohl has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rohl lands a damaging elbow.

That has opened up Matt Starr's cut even more.
Starr is trying to force a seperation but Rohl has the dominant position.
Starr has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Rohl lands a nice elbow.
Rohl is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Starr is defending well for now.
Starr takes an elbow to the temple.

The cut above Matt Starr's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rohl displaying some good clinch control by pressing Starr up against the cage.

Starr avoiding damage as Rohl throws knees to the body.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rohl.

Matt Starr's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matt Starr's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Curtis Rohl!
