Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arcot Ramathorn (ranked 652 p4p, 1081 weight class) and John Carter (ranked 95 p4p, 166 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Carter's choice of entrance music: I'll Kill You Motherf*cker. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ramathorn counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Carter throws a right hand that Ramathorn ducks under and follows up with a left that Ramathorn also avoids with ease.
Ramathorn is looking to counter punch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ramathorn!

It looks like John Carter has been cut.
Ramathorn catches Carter with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Ramathorn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ramathorn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it.

Carter is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ramathorn had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

That was a close round but I would say that Arcot Ramathorn will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramathorn has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
