Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Killian Risher (ranked 22848 p4p, 23361 weight class) and Trike Quicky (ranked 306 p4p, 310 weight class). Quicky has chosen Won’t Let Go as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Killian Risher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trike Quicky!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Risher misses with a body kick.
Quicky steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Risher.

and Quicky counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Quicky.
Quicky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Quicky landing some decent shots from guard.
Risher avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Quicky throwing strikes but missing.
Quicky postures up in Risher's guard and throws a big left but Risher blocks it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Risher pulls Quicky in close to his closed guard and prevents Quicky from doing any damage or advancing position.
Quicky has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Quicky is in close to Risher's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Risher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Quicky is one step ahead there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Risher is looking for a triangle but Quicky pushes his legs off easily.

Quicky drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Quicky jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Quicky pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Risher is keeping the position for now.
Quicky postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Quicky's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Risher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Quicky postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Quicky lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Quicky throws an elbow that misses. Risher uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Quicky's guard. Nice move by Risher!


Quicky isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Risher stacks Quicky on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Risher!

Risher stands up and beckons Quicky to his feet.
Nice shot by Risher.
Risher stalks Quicky and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Quicky's face. Quicky staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Risher throws a head kick but Quicky moves out of range.
Quicky raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Risher closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Risher lands in his opponent's guard.
Quicky is wriggling around but Risher manages to pass to half guard.

Risher wants to work for an arm triangle but Quicky is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quicky looks like he's trying to stand up.
Risher controlling the action here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Quicky with the active half guard here but Risher passes nicely into side control.
Quicky tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Risher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Risher is chipping away with strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Quicky can't do much from the bottom here.

Risher shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Risher is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Quicky is just riding it out for now. Risher eventually gives up the hold.

Quicky looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Risher prevents Quicky from improving his position.

Quicky is refusing to be controlled, as Risher sits in half guard.
Quicky is looking for a sweep. Risher is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Risher tries to pass the half guard into mount. Quicky knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Quicky makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Risher throws a right hand that Quicky ducks under and follows up with a left that Quicky also avoids with ease.
Quicky unleashes a big counter combination but Risher bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Quicky is trying to stall.

Risher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Quicky fails in his attempt to clinch.
Risher misses with an attempted mid kick.
Quicky let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Risher shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Quicky looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Quicky looking for a guillotine here but Risher defends easily.
Quicky is breathing heavily.

Quicky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Risher defends it easily.

Risher slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Risher scoring with punches and elbows.
Risher takes a little break here. Quicky wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Risher's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Killian Risher overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Risher is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Quicky knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Quicky is looking to reverse the position.

Risher swings around for an armbar but Quicky sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Risher's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Quicky throws a big right hand that misses.
Quicky in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Quicky landing some decent shots from guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Killian Risher will probably get the nod.
That's time! Risher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Risher throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Quicky tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Risher is in Quicky's guard.

Quicky working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Risher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Risher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Risher is looking to stand up but Quicky won't let him.
Risher passes Quicky's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Risher decides to return to a standing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Risher is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Quicky's half guard.
Risher is trying to control. Quicky wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Risher is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Risher is pressing down on Quicky's thigh, looking to free his foot. Quicky is holding on for now.

Quicky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Quicky looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Well, if Risher is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Risher is looking to take a break and control but Quicky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Quicky looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Risher looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Quicky!
Risher wants to control but Quicky is keeping him busy.
Quicky is looking for a sweep.

Risher is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Quicky gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Risher can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Quicky is looking to escape.
Quicky wants to hold on but Risher pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Killian Risher showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Risher has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
