Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Winters (ranked 3910 p4p, 4110 weight class) and Crucifix Hill (ranked 467 p4p, 486 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Winters might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Avatar - Colossus. Hill has chosen Highway to Hell - by AC/DC as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jerome Winters had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jerome Winters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Crucifix Hill!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winters closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Winters lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Winters has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hill is looking to stand up but Winters isn't so interested in that idea.
Hill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winters tries to free his leg and advance position but Hill is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hill wants to stand but Winters is controlling the position.
Winters looking to pass the guard.
Hill wants to sweep here but Winters controlling him for the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Winters scores with a nice strike.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Winters. Hill shrugs it off though.
We've been told by Winters's head coaches at Canucks Combat Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Winters swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Winters tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Crucifix Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Winters dives in and grabs Hill's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hill pushes down on Winters's head and hops out.
A jab from Winters misses.
Hill lands a high kick!
Winters throws a series of punches but Hill avoids them all with ease.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Hill - that will leave a mark!
Winters is breathing heavily.
Winters throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hill drops Winters with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Winters looks back up at him and smiles so Hill waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Winters is rocked!
It looks like Jerome Winters has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hill pushes Winters away with a front kick.
Oh Winters is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hill rushes Winters and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hill drops Winters onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Winters is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
A right hook to the body lands for Hill.
Hill creates a bit of distance and cracks Winters with a massive left hook! Winters crumples out of camera shot, completely unconscious! He's been Nelmarked! Hill stares at him for a moment then struts over to his corner, victorious.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Crucifix Hill!
Crucifix Hill was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
