Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Healy! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Hayes! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayes lands with a straight right. Healy didn't see that one coming. Healy fails with the takedown. Healy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Healy throws a jab when Hayes was well out of range. Hayes lands the left hand. Hayes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Healy on the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hayes paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Healy takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Healy is breathing heavily. Hayes lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Healy falls backwards - clearly groggy! Hayes dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jacob Hayes! Jacob Hayes is the new welterweight champion!
