And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maycon Jardim!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick lands for Jardim.
Marcos has Jardim up against the cage in a clinch.
Marcos lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Marcos sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Marcos passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jardim!
You get the feeling that Jardim really doesn't like being in this position too much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jardim can do anything to dispel that myth.

Marcos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Marcos is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Marcos extends the arm and Jardim is forced to tap!
