Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between AJ Llewellyn (ranked 3273 p4p, 1997 weight class) and Dwight Schrute (ranked 426 p4p, 286 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, AJ Llewellyn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dwight Schrute! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schrute misses with a takedown attempt and Llewellyn decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Schrute's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Schrute is on top in guard.
Llewellyn has an active guard here but Schrute has managed to pass into half guard.
Llewellyn slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Llewellyn is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Llewellyn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Llewellyn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schrute gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Llewellyn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schrute can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Schrute passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Llewellyn looking for submissions off his back. Schrute tries to pass to full mount but Llewellyn defends it. Llewellyn looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Schrute pushes past his half guard into mount! Llewellyn is squirming around, avoiding Schrute's attempts to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Llewellyn is trying to stand. Llewellyn is working to get back to half guard.

Schrute trying to control but he's not successful this time. Llewellyn is bucking up trying to escape but Schrute cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Llewellyn squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Schrute is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Llewellyn is defending well though. Schrute let's go of the attempt for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Schrute is looking to control Llewellyn but Llewellyn is wriggling around and keeping busy. Llewellyn is trying to get back to his feet but Schrute has full control of the position and if anything, Llewellyn has just worked his way into a worse spot.

A looping hook to the body misses from Schrute. Llewellyn does a little dance to reset his feet. Llewellyn is looking to counter the offense by Schrute and move into the clinch. Schrute tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schrute gets off balance looking for a body kick and Llewellyn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Llewellyn controlling the pace. Schrute actively working from the bottom here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Schrute bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Schrute got a little sloppy there for a moment and Llewellyn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Schrute has managed to get both his arms back between Llewellyn's legs - danger averted. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Llewellyn keeping moving, preventing Schrute from controlling successfully. Schrute works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that is the end of the round. AJ Llewellyn dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Schrute lands a high kick!
Llewellyn takes a swing at Schrute's ribcage but misses. Schrute tries to clinch and Llewellyn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Schrute jabbing away but nothing is landing. Schrute thumps Llewellyn with a low kick. Llewellyn seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Schrute throws a body shot but no joy. Llewellyn half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Schrute closes the distance and clinches up with Llewellyn, looking for a takedown. Schrute pushes Llewellyn against the cage but Llewellyn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Schrute throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Llewellyn counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Llewellyn. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Llewellyn tries a body shot but Schrute blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Llewellyn lands a body shot. Schrute takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Llewellyn is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Schrute is defending well. Schrute tries to land a knee to the head but Llewellyn blocks with his arms.

Our spies down at at Catch Wrestling L.A. inform us that Schrute has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Llewellyn is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Llewellyn advances position into side control! Llewellyn controlling the position from side mount. This is a sustained period of stalling by Llewellyn.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Llewellyn trying to control the position but Schrute is working away. Llewellyn is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Schrute's shoulder. That is not cool. Llewellyn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Schrute for as long as he can get away with. Schrute is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Llewellyn's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Schrute actively working from the bottom here. Llewellyn sitting and controlling from the half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dwight Schrute is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Schrute shoots for a double leg takedown but Llewellyn sprawls well. He's pushed Schrute's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Llewellyn changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. AJ Llewellyn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwight Schrute. Llewellyn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Schrute's guard. Llewellyn controlling from the top position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! AJ Llewellyn showed his dominance in that final round. I think Llewellyn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
