Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucas Barbosa!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Siale Veainu!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Veainu was covering up waiting for the punch and Barbosa finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Barbosa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Veainu seems keen to control Barbosa's posture.
Barbosa drops back looking for a leg! Veainu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Veainu manages to kick Barbosa off! Barbosa jumps back into Veainu's guard.
Barbosa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Veainu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Barbosa has Veainu in his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barbosa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Veainu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Veainu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Veainu lying in Barbosa's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Barbosa decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Veainu taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
