Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between TJ LaRussa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, TJ LaRussa! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Scott! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in LaRussa's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Scott accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. LaRussa swivels though and keeps the full guard. Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but LaRussa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. LaRussa tries to land a sweep but no joy. LaRussa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Scott loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Scott scoring with punches to the head and body. Scott lands a couple of elbows. Scott with a flurry of punches that miss. Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but LaRussa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Scott working some strikes from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott wants to pass the guard but LaRussa is keeping the position. Scott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. LaRussa preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Scott prevents LaRussa from getting back to his feet. LaRussa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Scott throws and elbow that misses. LaRussa uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Scott's guard. Nice move by LaRussa! Scott working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because LaRussa has passed into half guard!
LaRussa wants to stand up but Scott has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Scott is trying to control but can't.
Scott is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but LaRussa pulls his head out easily. Scott looks gassed! LaRussa moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Scott.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scott can do anything to dispel that myth. LaRussa working away. Scott is trying to get back to half guard. LaRussa stands up and beckons Scott to his feet. LaRussa misses with a wild combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott checks a leg kick. Scott throws a right and a left that LaRussa avoids nicely. LaRussa throws a one two combo.
It looks like Brian Scott has been cut. Scott misses with a jab, cross combination.

and LaRussa counters with a lovely straight right hand! LaRussa fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. LaRussa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Scott. Scott misses with a double jab.
Scott takes a shot right to the bread basket. A head kick from LaRussa lands but Scott takes it in his stride.
Scott is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! LaRussa has Scott up against the ropes in a clinch.

LaRussa tries to clinch up but Scott circles away and keeps his distance. Scott misses with a double jab
and LaRussa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Scott thinking. Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
That's four minutes gone in the round. LaRussa lands a lovely overhand right. A decent looking cross lands there for LaRussa. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by LaRussa.
Scott tries to keep at a distance but LaRussa has taken the fight into the clinch. LaRussa breaks from the clinch.

Scott is looking to get back to full guard here but LaRussa has managed to pass to side control instead. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. LaRussa trying to control but he's not successful this time. Scott tries to reverse the position but LaRussa maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. LaRussa digs a good body shot into Scott's ribs. Scott avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from LaRussa. LaRussa throws a quick inside leg kick. LaRussa thows a body shot but no joy. TJ LaRussa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. LaRussa takes a swing at Scott's ribcage but misses. LaRussa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Scott moves out of range and avoids them all easily. LaRussa swinging wilding here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. LaRussa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. LaRussa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Scott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as LaRussa throws out the jab. LaRussa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Scott can do to turn this around? LaRussa shoots in looking for a takedown. Scott tries to sprawl out of it but LaRussa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Scott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Scott throws a sloppy head kick and LaRussa counters with a two punch combo. LaRussa drives through and clinches with Scott against the ropes.

LaRussa Rushes Scott and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Scott is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. LaRussa Piles on the pressure and Scott crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
