Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scaredy McScared!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hindo Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
McScared shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but McScared keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McScared uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gracie.
Gracie throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie throws a nice looking combination but McScared bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McScared counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie looking to hit a scissor sweep but McScared is one step ahead there.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McScared is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McScared's back instead.

Gracie thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

McScared breaks Gracie's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

McScared drops back looking for a leg! Gracie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gracie manages to kick McScared off! McScared jumps back into Gracie's guard.

Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but McScared is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Gracie scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
McScared tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control.

McScared is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!
Gracie is covering up but some of the strikes from McScared are getting through and doing damage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

McScared lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Gracie.
Will McScared go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
McScared has got one arm under Gracie's chin. This could be trouble... Gracie trying to control the other hand but McScared gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Gracie has tapped out! The fight is over!
