PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hoshi Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and fjodor king (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

king gets caught flat footed, as Tanaka shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

king throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

king working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tanaka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tanaka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tanaka is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

king escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tanaka gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tanaka drops back looking for a leg! king is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and king manages to kick Tanaka off! Tanaka jumps back into king's guard.

king is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

king looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

king working for a triangle but Tanaka defends it easily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
king looks gassed!

king has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tanaka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Tanaka is pushing down on king's leg trying to pass to half guard. king is fighting to maintain full guard but Tanaka has managed to sneak the leg through.

Tanaka seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. king is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
