Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maro Pjetlic (ranked 437 p4p, 1139 weight class) and Marlin Paschal (ranked 63 p4p, 152 weight class). Pjetlic comes into the arena with Legend blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maro Pjetlic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marlin Paschal!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Pjetlic. Paschal does a little dance to reset his feet.
Paschal looks to score with a jab to the body but Pjetlic is just out of range.
Paschal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Paschal takes one to the chin there.
Pjetlic misses with an uppercut.
Paschal scores with a push kick.

Paschal lands a left and a right that send Pjetlic crashing to the mat, dazed. Paschal thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Maro Pjetlic has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No joy there for Paschal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pjetlic pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've been informed that Paschal has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Paschal throws a sloppy head kick and Pjetlic moves out of range easily.
Pjetlic with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Paschal to score with a decent uppercut.

and Pjetlic counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Pjetlic doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Paschal looks to land a combination but Pjetlic avoids it well.
Marlin Paschal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paschal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pjetlic.
Pjetlic avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pjetlic misses with a straight left.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pjetlic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pjetlic moves out of range of the body kick.
Paschal thows a left - swing and a miss!
Paschal blocks a jab.
Despite the aggression on Paschal's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Paschal drops Pjetlic with a beautiful combination! Pjetlic stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Paschal is looking for the KO!
Pjetlic is rocked!
A jab from Pjetlic misses.
Pjetlic looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Paschal takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Pjetlic misses with a hook. Paschal ducked under it nicely.
Pjetlic sets himself, and Paschal steps forward looking for the clinch! Pjetlic avoids it this time.
Paschal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Paschal throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Paschal ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Paschal throws a counter combo.
Paschal connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Pjetlic tumbling to the canvas! Paschal pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Pjetlic was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Marlin Paschal!
After the fight, Marlin Paschal was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
