Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bad Dawg (ranked 2491 p4p, 1613 weight class) and Ludwig Lachmann (ranked 327 p4p, 214 weight class). Bad Dawg could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ludwig Lachmann's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bad Dawg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ludwig Lachmann! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dawg displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Lachmann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Dawg lands with a nice body punch. Dawg throws a body shot but no joy. Bad Dawg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dawg with a nice cross. Lachmann takes a body punch but keeps moving. Lachmann uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dawg.
Lachmann with the counter takedown but Dawg avoids it easily. Dawg catches Lachmann with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Lachmann uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dawg. Dawg scores with a nice strike. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lachmann tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dawg defends well and Lachmann ends up having to push Dawg into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. We've been informed that Lachmann has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Dawg paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Lachmann takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Lachmann tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A little feinted left hand from Dawg on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Dawg has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Decent striking displayed by Dawg there.
Lachmann is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Dawg lands a nice shot to the body.
Lachmann is still on wobbly legs! Can Dawg finish him? Dawg ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Dawg connects with a body shot that sends Lachmann's belly button to the back. Dawg closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Lachmann out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bad Dawg! Bad Dawg was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
