Konstantinov feints and as Pacheco raises his hands in defense, Konstantinov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Nice work. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

It looks like Konstantinov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Pacheco regains full guard. Nicely done. Pacheco seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Pacheco is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pacheco not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Pacheco wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Konstantinov is figuring out what he wants to do next. Pacheco tries to get to full guard but Konstantinov has control of the leg. Konstantinov wants to pass the guard but Pacheco is defending well.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Pacheco tries to roll over but Konstantinov keeps him under control. Pacheco gets full guard. Konstantinov looking to pass the guard. Pacheco tries to land a sweep but no joy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Konstantinov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pacheco's guard.
