Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Pomp (ranked 4422 p4p, 4457 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Freddy Pomp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jones! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Pomp on that attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Pomp or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones, which made it look bad. Pomp has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddy Pomp. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pomp is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pomp with a poor takedown and Jones counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jones pulls guard. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones wants to stand up but Pomp is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to stand and escape but Pomp is having none of it. Pomp trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pomp showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Jones tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pomp tries to improve position but can't. Pomp is being controlled here. Pomp is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pomp tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it. Jones wants to stand but Pomp is controlling his arm. Jones in side control, just content to control the action for now. Jones scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Pomp to see if he's OK. Pomp struggling a bit here. Jones controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Pomp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jones leaves Pomp with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jones tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Pomp manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Jones keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Jones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pomp pulls him back up using the underhooks. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones manages to break the clinch.
Pomp fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pomp shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Jones misses with a low kick. Jones wants to clinch up but Pomp keeps it at a distance. Pomp stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Jones has Pomp up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones lands a takedown into guard.
Jones drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pomp dives on top into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pomp tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pomp is controlling him. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking for a triangle but Pomp pushes his legs off easily.
Pomp advances to half guard. Jones makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jones. Jones has a closed guard, preventing Pomp from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pomp postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones looking for a sweep. Not yet Jones, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones is trying to control the position but Pomp postures up. Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jones wants to stand up but Pomp is controlling him. Jones is breathing heavily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Freddy Pomp is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pomp. Pomp fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pomp looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pomp tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard. Jones performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow. Pomp won't allow Jones to pass to mount. Pomp is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pomp is looking to improve his position.
Jones is pressing down on Pomp's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pomp is holding on for now.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Jones is trying to control. Pomp wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jones wants to pass to mount but Pomp is defending the position.

Pomp pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones is trying to counter with his kicks. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pomp pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight moves into the clinch position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pomp's guard. Pomp wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment. Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones wanted to stand there but Pomp had control of the position. Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pomp doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pomp looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pomp's guard. Pomp not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pomp has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up. Jones wants to pass the guard but Pomp is keeping the position. Jones wants to control from the top but Pomp keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Pomp. Pomp keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones passes into half guard. Jones is trying for a kimura here. Pomp looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jones wins by kimura!
