Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Miles (ranked 4360 p4p, 4244 weight class) and Yusef Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Miles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yusef Kahn! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kahn looking to score a takedown here. Miles is defending well but Kahn drives through and ends up in Miles's guard. Kahn stands up from Miles's guard - Kahn perhaps looking for a knockout. Miles rushes Kahn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Miles controlling the action here for a moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miles missing with knees to the body.
Miles creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Miles breaks from the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kahn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miles has him pressed against the cage. Kahn is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Kahn is trying to break the clinch but Miles is controlling him. Miles tries to pull guard but Kahn forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Miles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kahn is trying to force a seperation but Miles has the dominant position. Miles tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kahn smiles and moves away.
Kahn darts in and clinches Miles up against the cage. Miles blocks an elbow strike. Miles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Miles drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kahn sprawls and moves away. Kahn lands a jab-cross combination. Kahn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miles tries to avoid it but Kahn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miles to the ground. Miles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Miles is looking to counter the offense by Kahn and move into the clinch. Kahn is looking to clinch. Miles decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kahn kicks Miles off and gets back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Miles fails with the takedown and Kahn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Miles is breathing heavily. Kahn instigates a clinch. Kahn goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Miles. Miles jumps guard but Kahn stands there with Miles around his waist. Miles gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kahn is leaning against Miles and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Miles trying to stall but Kahn improves his position.
Kahn looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kahn lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Kahn.
Kahn tries to break free but Miles pushes him back against the cage. Kahn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miles has him pressed against the cage. Nice body punch from Kahn. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yusef Kahn dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A frustrated look appears on Kahn's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Kahn is trying to force a seperation but Miles has the dominant position. Kahn is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Kahn tries to break the clinch but Miles is controlling the position. Miles jumps guard but Kahn turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Kahn tries to break free but Miles pushes him back against the cage. Kahn wants to get back to striking at distance but Miles won't allow it.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kahn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kahn gets control of Miles's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kahn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kahn throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yusef Kahn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round! Kahn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

And that's the end of the fight! Yusef Kahn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kahn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
