PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Imagine Thibodeaux (ranked 5688 p4p, 23856 weight class) and Plebian Franco (ranked 572 p4p, 601 weight class). Plebian Franco told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco throws a hook but Thibodeaux blocks it.
Thibodeaux throws a hook to the side of Franco's head but Franco sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Franco misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thibodeaux slips a jab from Franco.
Thibodeaux tries a head kick but it misses.
Franco tries to counter with a clinch but Thibodeaux shakes him off and moves away.
Franco swings for the body but Thibodeaux moves out of range.
Franco tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Thibodeaux counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Thibodeaux lands a glancing blow to the side of Franco's head.
Franco takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've been told by Thibodeaux's head coaches at For Pride and Prodigies that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Thibodeaux throws a leg kick which misses Franco's front leg but catches the back leg as Franco tries to avoid it.
Franco takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Plebian Franco has been cut.
Franco swings for the body but Thibodeaux moves out of range.
Franco throws a head kick that misses.

Franco moves into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thibodeaux is trying to break the clinch but Franco is controlling him.

A chopping leg kick lands by Thibodeaux.
Thibodeaux blocks a head kick by Franco.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thibodeaux lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Thibodeaux tries to score with a low kick but Franco moves his leg out of the way.
Thibodeaux connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Franco out cold! This one is over in a flash!
