The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahearn lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ahearn misses with a body shot.
Herzog swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Herzog wants to slow Ahearn down by chopping away at his legs.
Herzog has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Savage Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Herzog just misses with a punch to the body.
Ahearn takes one to the side of the head.

Ahearn appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Ahearn on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Herzog . Herzog obviously looking to wear him down.
Ahearn lands a jab to Herzog 's midsection.
Ahearn lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Herzog sprawling to the canvas. Ahearn follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Herzog hang on?
It looks like Imka Herzog has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ahearn is thwarting Herzog 's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Herzog controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Herzog wants to control but Ahearn is keeping busy.
Herzog knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ahearn on the ground.
Herzog wants to improve his position but Ahearn is controlling well.
Ahearn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Herzog is just riding it out for now. Ahearn eventually gives up the hold.
