PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Landon McGuire (ranked 1442 p4p, 2389 weight class) and Darwin Zambrano (ranked 217 p4p, 331 weight class). McGuire kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Godsmack - When Legends Rise. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zambrano avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McGuire throws a wild body kick that Zambrano sees coming a mile off.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Zambrano! But no joy.

McGuire seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Zambrano has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McGuire is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Zambrano.

McGuire pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Zambrano taps out and this one is all over!
