Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tray Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edward Wong! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tray Roberts! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roberts swinging wilding here.
Roberts throws a leg kick which misses Wong's front leg but catches the back leg as Wong tries to avoid it. Roberts gets caught flat footed, as Wong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wong pushing down on Roberts's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Wong thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Roberts's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wong is keen to just control but Roberts is a slippery customer. Wong is working for a kimura but Roberts is defending it quite comfortably.

Roberts won't allow Wong to pass to mount. Roberts works his way to full guard. Good work. Roberts working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wong. Roberts controlling the position.

Wong tries to move to full mount but Roberts actually manages to regain half guard. Wong is working for a submission of some sort.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wong is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Roberts has managed to free his arm - good work. Wong is looking to advance position but Roberts won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wong wants to advance to full mount but Roberts doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wong pushes down on Roberts's leg and manages to get into half guard. Wong is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Roberts doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wong. Wong looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wong shoots in for a double leg but Roberts sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wong tries to close the distance and clinch but Roberts swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wong tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Tray Roberts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wong displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Roberts throws out the jab.

Wong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Roberts sprawls well initially but Wong persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wong has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wong thowing shots but they're missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tray Roberts showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Wong's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Horrible takedown by Wong or perhaps it was just good defense by Roberts which made him look bad. Roberts pivots, looking for a leg kick but Wong is out of range and Roberts settles back down.

Tray Roberts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. A punch combination from Roberts misses. Good standup being displayed there by Roberts as he connects with a hook. Wong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roberts as he jumps to the side. Roberts throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Roberts tries to avoid it but Wong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roberts to the ground. Roberts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Roberts fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wong on the side of the head. Roberts misses the shot to the body. Wong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Roberts misses with a two punch combination.

Roberts throws a low kick but Wong avoids it. Wong closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wong sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Roberts defending well though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wong missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Roberts wants to control but Wong is having none of it.

Tray Roberts dominated that fourth round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Roberts lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wong has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wong and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Wong slips under a jab from Roberts. Wong shoots for a takedown but Roberts saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wong fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Wong on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Wong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Roberts's guard. Wong sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Roberts's guard. Wong winds up and cracks Roberts with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Wong wants to pass the guard but Roberts is defending well. Wong thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Roberts's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wong moves nicely into side control. The ground and pound from Wong seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Wong sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Roberts is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

It looks like Tray Roberts has been cut. Wong goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Roberts rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Wong's guard! Nice work there by Roberts! Tray Roberts is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
