PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deacon Dilbrandt (ranked 1443 p4p, 2685 weight class) and Zig Zig (ranked 194 p4p, 338 weight class). Dilbrandt comes to the cage accompanied by Droppin. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Deacon Dilbrandt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zig Zig!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zig shoots for a takedown but Dilbrandt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dilbrandt appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Zig has a takedown stuffed.
Dilbrandt throws a leg kick which misses Zig's front leg but catches the back leg as Zig tries to avoid it.
We've been told by Dilbrandt's head coaches at Doc Dannis Death Squad that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Zig shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dilbrandt as he avoids it easily.
Deacon Dilbrandt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zig Zig.
Zig shoots in but no luck this time.
Zig looks to land a right hand but Dilbrandt moved out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dilbrandt throws a combination. Zig tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Zig fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Zig tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dilbrandt swivels and escapes.

Dilbrandt cracks Zig with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Zig looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dilbrandt finish him?

Zig is rocked!

Zig takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Zig is still on wobbly legs! Can Dilbrandt finish him?
Zig looks winded!
Dilbrandt connects with an inside leg kick.
Dilbrandt moves in close and cracks Zig with a massive right hand! Zig, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Dilbrandt!
