Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chuck Rudolph! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Burrhus Frederic Skinner! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rudolph shoots in and drives through. Skinner sprawls well. Skinner throws a looping overhand right but Rudolph ducks down to avoid it. Skinner throws a sloppy head kick and Rudolph moves out of range easily. No luck for Rudolph with that takedown attempt. Skinner will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Skinner rushes Rudolph and presses him up against the cage. Rudolph really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Skinner pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Knees to the body from Skinner.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Skinner unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rudolph lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Rudolph wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Skinner takes a shot to the head. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Skinner just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rudolph's brow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Skinner throws a knee to the head but misses.
Skinner's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Rudolph has had enough of the clinch but Skinner keeps him there for the moment. Rudolph jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Skinner walks away with a smile on his face. Rudolph gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rudolph is looking to take this fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rudolph throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Skinner's waist but Skinner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rudolph off to one side. Rudolph moves out of range of the body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Skinner tries to clinch but Rudolph moves away and Rudolph counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Skinner stuffs the takedown attempt from Rudolph. Rudolph gets slowly back to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rudolph. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Rudolph. That's going to take a lot out of him. Skinner is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rudolph's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rudolph's back! Skinner biding his time, looking for the opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Skinner is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
