Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Balthasar Van Thüringen!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Thüringen throws a looping overhand right but Mir ducks down to avoid it.
Mir tries to counter with a takedown but Van Thüringen is quick to defend against it.
Mir walks into a jab.
It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.
Mir seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Van Thüringen lands a jab.
Mir closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Van Thüringen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mir on the side of the head.
Van Thüringen throws a hook but Mir avoids it easily.
Good standup being displayed there by Van Thüringen as he connects with a hook.
Van Thüringen sends Mir crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Van Thüringen is motioning to the referee to let Mir up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Mir is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mir is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Van Thüringen doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Mir crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Mir's bad books for that mishap!
