Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Pokorney (ranked 5279 p4p, 4408 weight class) and Stepan Borysov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pokorney's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Never Gonna Give You Up. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacob Pokorney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stepan Borysov!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pokorney instigates a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Borysov - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Borysov content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Pokorney wants to take the fight to the mat but Borysov manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Pokorney fails to pull guard.
Pokorney has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Borysov has Pokorney pressed against the cage.
Pokorney wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pokorney trying to stall but Borysov improves his position.
Pokorney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Borysov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Borysov is working for a kimura but Pokorney is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Borysov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pokorney missing with punches from the bottom.
Pokorney has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Borysov is working away from the top position though.
Pokorney holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pokorney wants to control but Borysov is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Pokorney keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pokorney shoots in and drives through. Borysov sprawls well.

Borysov wants to control from the top but Pokorney keeps moving.

Pokorney is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Borysov looking to sit in guard and control but Pokorney gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Borysov wants to improve his position but instead Pokorney has moved into half guard.
Pokorney wants to control but Borysov is keeping him busy.

Borysov is trying to control but Pokorney passes into side control!
Borysov is trying to control Pokorney's posture but Pokorney avoids it.
Pokorney will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pokorney looks up at the clock and then as Borysov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pokorney smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Borysov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pokorney wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Borysov is not content to let Pokorney control the position.
Borysov tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Pokorney presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacob Pokorney will probably get the nod.
That's time! Pokorney's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Borysov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Borysov working away.
Borysov wants to take a breather but Pokorney manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Borysov.
Pokorney wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pokorney lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Pokorney stands up over Borysov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pokorney is on top in guard.

Pokorney chips away with some ground and pound.

Borysov is looking for a triangle here but Pokorney uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Pokorney is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

A control attempt from Borysov but he's now mounted!
Pokorney is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Borysov can do to turn this around?
Borysov tries to improve his position but instead Pokorney has taken his back!

Borysov has hold of Pokorney's leg, trying to break free but it's let Pokorney lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Borysov is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Pokorney throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jacob Pokorney!
A less than humble Jacob Pokorney misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
