Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ameri Can (ranked 981 p4p, 1067 weight class) and Jack Waller (ranked 115 p4p, 121 weight class). Can's entrance music is For Heavy Metal we will die!. A fine choice. Waller has chosen Snoop Dogg - Murder Was the Case as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ameri Can!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Waller!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Can throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As Can backs off Waller throws a huge counter combo but Can manages to avoid it all.
Waller looks to land a right hand but Can moved out of range.
Can misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Waller.
Can uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Waller.
Waller missing with a left hand there. Can was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Can throwing a counter right hand but Waller manages to avoid it.
Can pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Waller scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
The fighters circling - Waller throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Waller looks to land a left hand but Can moved out of range nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Waller as he connects with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ameri Can seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Waller drops his hands momentarily and Can takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Can is looking to wear down Waller with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Waller now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Nice defenses there by Can.
Can ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Can throws a poor cross that misses
and Can takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Waller keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Can misses with an attempted mid kick.
Waller let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Waller is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Can had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Can throws a counter high kick but Waller was just alert enough to avoid it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Waller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Can sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Can stuns Waller with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Can takes one to the chin there.
Can throws a leg kick but Waller sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Can misses with a wild body shot.
Can drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Waller throws a predictable looking body shot
and Can counters with a nice low kick that buckles Waller's knee momentarily.
Waller lands a jab to Can's midsection.
Can uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Waller.
Can misses the jab.
Can is looking to land body kicks.
Can misses with the body kick
and Waller counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Waller dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Waller takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
No joy there for Waller, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
It looked like Can was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Waller.
Can scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Waller tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Can was well out of range. Poor timing from Waller.
Can looks to land a body kick but Waller moved away.
Can rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Waller counter with a right hand.
Waller throws a shot to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Can might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Can looks to land a right hand but Waller moved out of range.

Can swings for the body but Waller moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Waller! But no joy.

and Can counters with a nice low kick that buckles Waller's knee momentarily.
Waller takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Can pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Waller doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

and Waller cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Waller throws a shot from downtown. Can moves away and avoids it.

Waller looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Waller throws a lazy right hand but Can sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Can looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Waller fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Can on the side of the head.

The fighters circling - Waller throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Can throws a hook to the side of Waller's head but Waller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Can shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Some bone on bone action there as Waller checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Waller closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Waller scores with a crisp jab that stopped Can in his tracks.
