Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Chong Tay (ranked 22365 p4p, 4257 weight class) and Crown Halo (ranked 613 p4p, 504 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 36 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chong Tay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 32 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crown Halo!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tay throws a sloppy head kick and Halo moves out of range easily.
Halo dodges the punch combination from Tay.
Chong Tay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Halo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Halo scores with a three punch combo!

Tay lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Halo goes down! The ref sends Tay to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Halo is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!

It looks like Crown Halo has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tay drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Halo onto his butt! Halo pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.

Tay takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Halo tries to close the distance and clinch but Tay swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Halo stuns Tay with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Halo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tay on the side of the head.

Tay bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Halo is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Tay closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Halo crashing to the mat! Halo uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Halo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tay moves away.
As Halo backs away, Tay returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Halo misses with a series of wild punches.
Tay takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Halo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Halo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tay lands a nice looking body kick.
Tay looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Halo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Halo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Tay had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Tay fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Halo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Tay connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Halo onto his butt! Halo bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

and Halo counters with a three punch combo that has Tay backing up. Tay nods at Halo to acknowledge the strikes.
Halo has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
The crowd cheers as Halo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tay doesn't seem phased though.

Halo staggers Tay with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Tay looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!

Oh Tay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Halo moves into the clinch.
Tay has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Halo.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Halo tries to throw a body punch but Tay avoids it by throwing Halo back against the ropes.
Halo struggles to land a body shot inside as Tay controls his hands.
Tay has had enough of the clinch but Halo keeps him there for the moment.
Tay prevents a body shot from Halo.
Halo lands a nice uppercut.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Chong Tay takes that one as he scored more knockdowns in what was an action packed first round!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tay walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Tay walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Halo rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Tay has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.

Halo scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Tay to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Halo away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Tay got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!

Tay is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Halo just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Tay has gone limp and this one is over!
