Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Carlotos Spiteri (ranked 22207 p4p, 20302 weight class) and Riley Knox (ranked 620 p4p, 627 weight class). Spiteri comes to the ring accompanied by Day to day basis. Knox has chosen Roy Jones Jr - I Smoke, I Drink feat. Mr. Magic & Youngbloodz) as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlotos Spiteri!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Riley Knox!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox lands an overhand right.
A good leg kick by Spiteri.
Spiteri misses with a leg kick
and Knox counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Spiteri thinking.
Spiteri swats away the attempt to clinch by Knox.
Knox tries to clinch up.
Knox drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Spiteri onto his butt! Spiteri pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
It looks like Carlotos Spiteri has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knox blocks a jab.
Knox on the wrong end of a nice hook.
It looks like Riley Knox has been cut.
Spiteri rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Spiteri takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Spiteri feints and then cracks Knox's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Knox down.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Spiteri swings for the body but Knox moves out of range.
Knox tries to clinch but Spiteri moves away
and Spiteri counters with a nice uppercut.
Knox moves away from the strike by Spiteri.
Spiteri has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Chakuriki LA Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Spiteri punishes Knox's body with a nice straight punch.
Knox takes one to the chin there.
Knox misses with a hook. Spiteri ducked under it nicely.
Spiteri steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Knox.
Knox takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A low kick from Spiteri misses
and Knox counters with a big right hook, that lands right on the temple! Spiteri goes down! Knox rushes to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Spiteri is up to one knee.... 8,9.... He's up! The referee says he's good to go, so we're back to the action!
Spiteri is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Knox engages and cracks Spiteri with a massive lead left hook - Spiteri tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Knox is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Riley Knox! Riley Knox retains his light heavyweight title!
Our winner, Riley Knox, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
