Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Keke Kivi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Munoz! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kivi misses with a takedown attempt - Munoz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kivi dives in and scores a takedown into Munoz's guard. Munoz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kivi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Munoz working a defensive guard here.
Kivi postures up in Munoz's guard and throws a big left but Munoz blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Munoz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Munoz trying to control the position from guard on top but Kivi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munoz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kivi blocking the ground and pound attempt from Munoz. Munoz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kivi sees it coming and defends easily. Munoz trying to control from half guard but Kivi is working away. Munoz is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Munoz trying to mount his opponent but Kivi defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munoz maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kivi could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Munoz has cracked it and Kivi is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Munoz!
