PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Son Goku (ranked 1207 p4p, 2637 weight class) and Ron Funches (ranked 169 p4p, 328 weight class). Goku comes to the cage accompanied by Makafushigi Adventure. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ron Funches!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goku looks to score with a jab to the body but Funches is just out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Goku lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Funches has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Funches and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Funches is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Goku with a body shot.
Funches swings for the body but Goku moves out of range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

In his post fight interview, Ron Funches started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Son Goku stepped up to the mic, saying 'I can't believe it, I thought I had trained very hard in the other world, but I was wrong. I didn't think there was anyone who had the same strength as me.'.
