Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jas Fro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddel's entrance music is Chuck Liddel. A fine choice. Fro has chosen Vangelis - Conquest of Paradise as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chuck Liddel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jas Fro! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fro shoots in and drives through. Liddel sprawls well. Liddel throws a right and a left that Fro avoids nicely. Liddel stuffs the takedown. Fro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jas Fro. Liddel tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Liddel wants to clinch. Liddel throws a right hand that Fro ducks under and follows up with a left that Fro also avoids with ease. Fro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddel as he jumps to the side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Liddel tries a head kick but it misses.
Good leg kick by Liddel there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fro tries for a takedown but Liddel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Liddel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Liddel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fro circles away quickly and effectively. Liddel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Liddel misses with a double jab.
Fro moves out of range of the body kick. Fro tries for a takedown but Liddel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fro fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Liddel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Fro paws at him with a jab and circles away. Liddel throws a right and a left that Fro avoids nicely. Fro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Liddel's guard. Liddel is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Liddel is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Liddel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fro is one step ahead there. Liddel keeping moving, preventing Fro from controlling successfully. Liddel is pulling down on Fro's head to control his posture. Liddel keeping moving, preventing Fro from controlling successfully. Fro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Liddel looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Liddel looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Liddel! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fro seems a little lost for a moment, as Liddel dominates the positioning. Fro is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Liddel controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fro tries to bench press Liddel off him but Liddel keeps the position. Fro is not content to let Liddel control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Liddel decides to stand back up. Liddel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Liddel dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fro. That did some damage! A punch combination from Liddel misses. Fro tries for a takedown but Liddel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Liddel throws a right hand that Fro ducks under and follows up with a left that Fro also avoids with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chuck Liddel dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Liddel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fro swats him away and circles back towards the center. Fro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liddel tries to avoid it but Fro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liddel to the ground. Liddel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fro has a takedown stuffed. Liddel lands a jab to the nose. Fro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddel as he jumps to the side. Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jas Fro. Liddel throws a right and a left that Fro avoids nicely. Liddel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Liddel throws a series of punches but Fro moves out of range. Liddel is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Liddel moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Liddel moves out of range as Fro throws a body kick.
Liddel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Liddel stuffs the takedown attempt from Fro. Fro gets slowly back to his feet. Liddel throws a right hand that Fro ducks under and follows up with a left that Fro also avoids with ease. Fro closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. It looks like Fro is going to stand back up.
Liddel is holding on to half guard well. Liddel won't allow Fro to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddel is trying to control but can't.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fro lands a nice short elbow. Fro is looking to advance position but Liddel won't allow it. Liddel is pressing down on Fro's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Liddel looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Fro tries to free his leg and advance position but Liddel is retaining full guard. Fro postures up in Liddel's guard and throws a big left but Liddel blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddel keeping moving, preventing Fro from controlling successfully. Liddel lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fro! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Liddel trying to control but he's not successful this time. Liddel working away from the top, dropping strikes. Liddel looking to control but Fro is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Liddel is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fro can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fro slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Liddel is trying to control the action in half guard but Fro is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Fro moves into full guard.
Liddel has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fro keeping moving, preventing Liddel from controlling successfully. Fro has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's got his arms around Liddel's waist but Liddel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fro off to one side. Chuck Liddel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddel throws a nice looking combination but Fro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Fro keeps the fight on the outside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Liddel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Liddel wants to clinch. Liddel throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fro looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Liddel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Liddel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fro. Fro tries to free his leg and advance position but Liddel is retaining full guard. Fro trying to control the position from guard on top but Liddel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Liddel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Liddel has Fro pulled in close to control his posture. Liddel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fro tries to free his leg and advance position but Liddel is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fro closes the distance and clinches up with Liddel, looking for a takedown. Fro pushes Liddel against the ropes but Liddel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jas Fro. Fro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Liddel as he avoids it easily. Liddel moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Liddel throws a sloppy head kick and Fro moves out of range easily. Fro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddel pinned against the cage. Liddel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Fro fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Liddel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fro tries to move into range but Liddel moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Fro tries to clinch but Liddel moves out of range. Liddel looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Fro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Liddel sees it coming and avoids it easily. Fro takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Fro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Liddel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fro fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Liddel wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liddel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Liddel throws a quick inside leg kick. Liddel smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Liddel throws a right hand that Fro ducks under and follows up with a left that Fro also avoids with ease. Fro has a takedown stuffed. Jas Fro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Liddel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Liddel throws a head kick that misses. Fro shoots for a takedown but Liddel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Chuck Liddel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Liddel tries to clinch up and Fro counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chuck Liddel. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Liddel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
