These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akkaynak misses with a jab, cross combination.
Akkaynak misses with an uppercut. Wick saw that one coming.
Wick clinches up with Akkaynak and pushes him back against the cage.
Wick trying to control the position but instead, Akkaynak has worked for underhooks and has pushed Wick into the cage.
Akkaynak tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wick just stands there and leans against the cage.
Akkaynak wants a takedown.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Akkaynak as Wick tries to tie him up.
A nice right hand lands inside from Akkaynak.
Akkaynak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Akkaynak looks to land a right hand but Wick moved out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wick moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Atakan Akkaynak has been cut.
Akkaynak waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wick.

Wick swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Akkaynak misses with a straight right.
Wick sends Akkaynak crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Wick is motioning to the referee to let Akkaynak up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Wick fakes the body blow, causing Akkaynak to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Akkaynak goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

After winning the bout, John Wick thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
