PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tatu Kurri (ranked 1108 p4p, 489 weight class) and Ivan Andrianov (ranked 160 p4p, 76 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tatu Kurri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Andrianov!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrianov throws a body punch but Kurri moves out of range.

Kurri is looking to take a break and control but Andrianov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kurri wants to work for an arm triangle but Andrianov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kurri seems to be looking for submissions.
Andrianov tries to get to full guard but Kurri has control of the leg.

Kurri is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kurri is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Andrianov is just riding it out for now. Kurri eventually gives up the hold.

Andrianov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well Andrianov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
