Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marckus Reece! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Beer! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reece tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Reece somewhat. Beer let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. A combination from Beer does no damage. Reece takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Reece tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Beer paws at him with a jab and circles away. Reece slips a jab and a cross from Beer.
Beer scores with a nice head shot. Beer misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beer lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Reece goes down and covers up as Beer starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Beer! The defeated Marckus Reece had this to say: 'I came out and did my best, I accepted this fight to help out the great promoters here. Time to get better,'.
