Funny comes to the cage accompanied by Throw some D's on it. Nigel Victors is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nigel Victors!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Victors tests Funny's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Doug Funny has been cut.
Victors digs a good hook to Funny's body.
Nice defenses there by Funny.

Victors misses with a left hand

and Funny counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Funny takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Funny is looking to take a break and control but Victors is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Funny has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Victors is trying to stand.
Funny is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Funny trying to control from half guard but Victors is working away.
Victors really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Funny. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Funny slips a nice elbow through Victors's hands, connecting with Victors's forehead.
Victors tries to kick Funny off but Funny keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Funny has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Victors is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Funny lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Ground and pound from Funny.
Funny wants to control but Victors is keeping him busy.
Funny landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Funny slips a nice elbow through Victors's hands, connecting with Victors's forehead.
Funny tries to pass to full mount but Victors defends it.
Funny is trying to control the action in half guard but Victors is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Funny stops Victors from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Victors throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Funny half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Victors misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nigel Victors seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Victors connects with a looping right hand.
Funny misses with a takedown attempt - Victors sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Funny keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Victors.
Funny takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Funny gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Funny decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Victors's guard.
Victors is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Funny working some strikes from top position.

Victors is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Funny presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Funny has clasped his hands together around Victors's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Victors is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Funny cracks Victors with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Funny trying to control the position but Victors is working away.
Victors pushes Funny away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Funny gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Victors is pushing Funny's head away, looking to escape. Funny manages to hold on to the position though.

Victors is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Funny is controlling him well.
Funny lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Funny works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Funny lands a nice forearm strike.
Victors trying to remain calm as Funny controls from the top position.
Funny trying to control the action but Victors is working from the bottom.
Victors takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Victors is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Doug Funny will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

and Funny counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Victors pushes Funny off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Nigel Victors is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Victors throws a nice looking combination but Funny bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Victors's corner calls for a 1-2. Victors obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Victors lands with a straight right. Funny didn't see that one coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Victors tries to clinch up but Funny circles away and keeps his distance.
Funny attempts a counter takedown but Victors avoids it well and moves away.
Victors throws an overhand right that lands on Funny's shoulder, as Funny tries to avoid the shot.
Victors fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Funny manages to avoid it.
Funny appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Funny takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Victors throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Funny stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Victors lands with a hook. Funny tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Funny takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Victors throws a combination that misses

and Funny counters with a single leg into guard. Victors didn't expect that.
Funny trying to control the position from guard on top but Victors is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Victors wants to get back to his feet but Funny is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Funny advances to half guard.
Funny is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Funny works his way into full mount!

Victors is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Funny is in the full mount, landing strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Nigel Victors has been cut.
Funny lands a big elbow.
Victors is still in real trouble! Can Funny finish him?

Funny postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Victors badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Funny around the waist but Funny pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Funny is the winner by TKO! Funny jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doug Funny!
