Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peter Cabreros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Pierres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Pierres has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Cabreros! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Pierres! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabreros lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Pierres shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cabreros pinned against the cage. Cabreros gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pierres uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cabreros.
Pierres closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cabreros to the mat! Cabreros manages to get full guard. Pierres slips nicely into half guard. Cabreros knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pierres on the ground. Pierres is working for a submission of some sort.
Cabreros is looking for a sweep. Pierres is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cabreros is looking to escape. Pierres throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pierres seems to be working for a kimura but Cabreros defends the submission attempt. Cabreros tries to get to full guard but Pierres has control of the leg. Cabreros wants to get back to his feet. Pierres works his foot free and advances to mount. Cabreros wants to hold on but Pierres pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Pierres looking to finish Cabreros with some ground and pound. This is bad for Cabreros! Pierres lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Cabreros hang on? Cabreros takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Pierres is landing with some decent strikes but Cabreros is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Pierres working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Pierres takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pierres lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Pierres has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pierres working Cabreros over with strikes here. Pierres controlling his opponent. BOOM! Pierres connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pierres goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cabreros turns into him and now he's in Pierres's guard.
Pierres looks gassed! Cabreros looking to pass the guard. Pierres is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cabreros wants to stand and escape but instead Pierres has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Cabreros wants to get back to his feet but Pierres is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pierres works a leg free and moves into half guard. Pierres is looking to take a break and control but Cabreros is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cabreros wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Pierres dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pierres tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cabreros swivels and escapes. Oooh a lovely combination from Cabreros sends Pierres down but not out. Cabreros dives into side control looking to finish.
Pierres is rocked!
It looks like George Pierres has been cut. Cabreros lands a strong strike to the head of Pierres. That's dazed him! Cabreros looking to finish here. Pierres is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Cabreros lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Cabreros!
