The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribbon tries to bum rush News with a series of wild strikes but News uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ribbon circles away from the clinch attempt.
News looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ribbon is fending him off so far but News persists. Nope, Ribbon circles away and we're back to standing.
Ribbon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ribbon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
News fails with a takedown attempt.
News shoots for a double leg takedown but Ribbon sprawls well. He's pushed News's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Pabst Ribbon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bad News.
Ribbon lands a nice hook to News's body. News takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
News misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
News looks gassed!
Ribbon darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ribbon clobbers News with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Ribbon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ribbon sizes up News with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ribbon lands with a nice body punch.
Ribbon grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! News takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Ribbon cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
