Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Beta Knox (ranked 3022 p4p, 2770 weight class) and Hugo Olsen (ranked 370 p4p, 348 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Knox might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Anthrax | Fight Em Till You Can't. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beta Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugo Olsen!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox connects with a single shot there.
Olsen slips a straight right by Knox.
Beta Knox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Olsen swings for the body but Knox moves out of range.
Olsen thuds a left hand into Knox's body.
Olsen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knox.

and Olsen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Olsen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Knox feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Olsen is looking to stand back up but Knox counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Olsen.

Knox is nestled in close to Olsen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Olsen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Knox uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Olsen.
Hugo Olsen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Olsen loads up on a big right hand but Knox slips the punch.
Olsen works Knox's body with a nice hook.
Knox lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Knox shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Knox was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Olsen sneaks out the side door and pushes Knox away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Olsen swings widly with a right hand
and Knox counters with a nice uppercut.
Knox dives in for a single leg takedown but Olsen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Olsen misses with a hook to the ribs.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Beta Knox will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

It seemed like Olsen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Olsen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Olsen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Knox finds it's way round the side to connect with Olsen's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Olsen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

That was a close second round but I would say that Beta Knox will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Knox, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
