Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luther Jackson (ranked 2743 p4p, 1379 weight class) and Ezekiel Marley (ranked 349 p4p, 185 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.
Marley looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range.
Marley stuffs the takedown attempt from Jackson. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.
Marley throws a lazy head kick
and Jackson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Marley!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marley can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Jackson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Marley is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jackson yanks on the arm and Marley is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jackson.
