Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Shinnie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Van Cleefe!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Cleefe misses the jab.
Van Cleefe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Shinnie connects with a right hand. Van Cleefe shakes it off.
It looks like Lee Van Cleefe has been cut.
Van Cleefe takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Shinnie stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A jab from Shinnie does it's job there.
Shinnie waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Van Cleefe.
Van Cleefe throws a series of punches but Shinnie avoids them all with ease.
Van Cleefe misses with a low kick as Shinnie jumps back.
Van Cleefe wants to clinch.
Shinnie works the jab nicely.
Van Cleefe misses with a straight left.
Van Cleefe is looking to score with low kicks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Van Cleefe throws a jab when Shinnie was well out of range.
Van Cleefe looks to land a combination but Shinnie avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shinnie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Van Cleefe.
Van Cleefe misses with a left hand
and Shinnie counters with a nice uppercut.
That has opened up Lee Van Cleefe's cut even more.
Van Cleefe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shinnie.
Van Cleefe scores with a one two! Shinnie had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Shinnie lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Van Cleefe falls backwards - clearly groggy! Shinnie dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Shinnie!
Lee Van Cleefe spoke after the fight, saying 'Old ninjas don't retire they just disappear in a cloud of smoke. '.
