The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Burnham throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Burnham throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Burnham misses with a low kick.
Sagaki only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Sagaki avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Sagaki moves out of range as Burnham strikes.
Sagaki tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Burnham moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Burnham throws a head kick that misses
and Sagaki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Burnham wants to improve his position but Sagaki is controlling well.
Sagaki is nestled in close to Burnham, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sagaki is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Burnham's coaches at DanBills Sketchy Basement have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burnham is staying active underneath Sagaki, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Burnham stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sagaki swivels though and keeps the full guard.
