Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregoire Aebersold (ranked 3088 p4p, 3651 weight class) and Brad Foster (ranked 409 p4p, 468 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brad Foster!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aebersold fails with the takedown.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Foster has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Aebersold fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Aebersold instigates a clinch.
Foster drags the fight down to the ground.
Foster keeping full guard, as Aebersold tries to pass.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Foster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aebersold. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Foster has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Foster wants to improve his position but Aebersold is controlling well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
