Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Juju Chavez (ranked 2952 p4p, 2896 weight class) and Raniel Mancuso (ranked 189 p4p, 185 weight class). Mancuso has chosen O RetrĂ´ Ativo - HerĂ³is do Status Quo as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Juju Chavez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raniel Mancuso! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mancuso misses with the combination.

Juju Chavez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mancuso throws a body punch but Chavez moves out of range. Chavez attempts a counter takedown but Mancuso avoids it well and moves away. Chavez has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mancuso. Mancuso avoids the body shot from Chavez.

Chavez feinted with a counter takedown. Mancuso lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mancuso wants to take the fight to the mat but Chavez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Mancuso's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Chavez pulls guard. Mancuso content to stall in guard here. Mancuso told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mancuso is continuing to stall. Chavez wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chavez is working an open guard so Mancuso takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Mancuso is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A slapping leg kick lands for Mancuso.
Chavez tries to close the distance and clinch but Mancuso swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mancuso moves into range and clinches up with Chavez. Chavez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Chavez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mancuso is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chavez, into his guard.
Mancuso must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mancuso is stalling in the full guard. We've been hearing good reports from Chavez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Mancuso got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chavez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mancuso has managed to get both his arms back between Chavez's legs - danger averted. Mancuso wants to stand but Chavez is controlling his posture from full guard. Chavez looking to sweep here. Mancuso will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Raniel Mancuso is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Chavez lands some shots froms side control. Mancuso dodges the ground and pound from Chavez. Mancuso managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Chavez.

Wait, no, Mancuso rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Chavez's guard! Nice work there by Mancuso! Juju Chavez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mancuso decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A combination from Chavez does no damage. Chavez blocks a jab. Mancuso moves into range and clinches up with Chavez. Chavez throws an elbow but it's blocked.
And that's the end of the fight! Raniel Mancuso comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Mancuso winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
