Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Baker (ranked 3026 p4p, 2807 weight class) and Steven Petersen (ranked 363 p4p, 334 weight class). Baker's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, When the Levee Breaks - Led Zeppelin. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeff Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Steven Petersen!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Petersen both land. Nice combination.
Petersen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Baker throwing a counter right hand but Petersen manages to avoid it.
Baker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Steven Petersen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Petersen shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Petersen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Baker on the side of the head.

Petersen has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeff Baker will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Petersen drops his hands momentarily and Baker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Baker throws an overhand right that lands on Petersen's shoulder, as Petersen tries to avoid the shot.
Baker lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Petersen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bakers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Petersen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Baker was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Baker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Petersen throws a shot from downtown. Baker moves away and avoids it.
An attempted straight right counter from Baker misses the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baker lands a big head kick that sends Petersen tumbling to the mat! Baker takes a step backwards and waves Petersen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Baker throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Petersen is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the ropes! Wow!
