Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Pfeifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pfeifer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pfeifer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Costa as he avoids it easily.
Costa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Costa lands with a kick to the temple. Pfeifer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Pfeifer drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pfeifer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Pfeifer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pfeifer is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Costa knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Costa for a finish.
Costa manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pfeifer's guard. Nice work there by Costa.
Costa slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pfeifer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Costa, pushing him back against the cage.

Despite being in the dominant position, Rico Pfeifer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Pfeifer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Costa does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Costa has one foot on Pfeifer's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Pfeifer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Costa circles away.
Costa connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pfeifer is looking to clinch but Costa is avoiding it.

Rico Pfeifer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Pfeifer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The referee warns Costa that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Pfeifer controlling the position easily from mount.
Pfeifer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Costa throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Costa is trying to escape the mount but Pfeifer keeps good control and instead manages to take Costa's back.

Costa trying to control the hands but Pfeifer won't let him.
Pfeifer lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Pfeifer has good solid back control here.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Douglas Costa.
I think Pfeifer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
